Any UP-converting DVD players

Do any upconverting DVD players send out the signal via component or VGA? If so, can I have a link?

I don't know any with VGA, but in my experience they're a waste of money. There's only around 480i lines on the DVD, and you're simply not going to pull extra resolution out of thin air and display it on a HDTV.

My TV has a scaler that upconverts anyway, so when I bought an upconverting DVD player with HDMI output, it didn't look any better than a normal DVD player.

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I think I will just get a progressive scan DVD player and then just wait for a new tv to get a new DVD player. (BR/HD-DVD or an upconverting DVD player)

I hope you realize that an upconverting DVD player is NOT in the same league as a BR/HD-DVD player.

It's not worth the hassle of tracking one down. I've Zenith DVB318 player which does it over component and dvi. I bought it when it was first released couple years back.

I realize that. I added that in if I cannot afford/don't want either.

OH WOW, I will look into that. Judging by what I just saw at amazon, this might be a candidate for next DVD player.
