Anyway, after I got my Camry and after he got his Highlander, he's become a Toyota whore so that leaves us with the Tacoma and Tundra. It has to be double cab and it has to have a long bed on it. Short beds need not apply.
Tundra DC - 74.3"
Titan Crew - 67.1"
F-150 Crew - 66"
We were looking at researching both the Tacoma DC and Tundra DC online, but the Tundra ends up being CHEAPER THAN THE FRIGGIN' TACOMA after incentives!!!!!!!!!

So are there any Tundra owners in the house? Any comments about the vehicle?
I own a '05 Tacoma Access Cab TRD 6-spd, V6. I LOVE my truck. I had been wanting the Tundra for a long time (the V8 is just smooth), but when the Tacoma came out, I realized it was the truck for me. reasons:
1) the truck is nearly the size of the Tundra (when talking Access cabs) and I really don't need a full size truck.
2) I like the interior of the Tacoma a lot better than the Tundra...especially in TRD form.
3) I wanted a manual and I would have to get a V6 in the Tundra for that...the Tundra weighs too much for a V6 in my opinion.
4) I really like the composite bed (people have different opinions on this).
Anyway, if your dad is just looking for something to tow stuff around in and doesn't really care about the interior or whatnot...Go with the Tundra...it is a great truck. The DC cabs especially are really roomy and the the bed is going to be a couple inches longer and deeper than the Tacoma.
By the way, the Tacoma TRD has done an awesome job so far offroad. with just about 7K on the truck, I have no complaints.
