Into the Great Wide Open -- gread wordplay, and one of the better subtle yet savage indictments of record company souless profit seeking:

His leather jacket had chains that would jingle
They both met movie stars, partied and mingled
Their a&r man said I don?t hear a single
The future was wide open

(a&r = artists and repertoire = suit who decides what singles to promote & pay for airplay of) and I love how the meaning shifts for "the future was wide open" from promise to uncertainty.

His earlier Albums have some great songs(like Refuge), but I think his first Great Album was Full Moon Fever. From that album on 90+% of his sons were excellent making him one of the rare Musicians whose Albums are worth buying.
