I have an NIC and i know that that increases the boottime, is there any tips, tweaks, tricks, etc. to reduce boot time?

Considering that computers are binary, and 0's are effectively meaningless, eliminating long strings of 0's is bound to help.

Check your msdos.sys file. You will have to uncheck the read only box to make changes. The Options section should look like this:

[Options]
BootMulti=1
BootGUI=1
DoubleBuffer=1
AutoScan=1
WinVer=4.10.2222
DrvSpace=0
DblSpace=0
DisableLog=1 <--------Speeds up boot (don't put these comments in!)
Logo=0 <--------Speeds up boot
Network=0 <--------Speeds up boot

That is the option that logs you in without having to click the button (if you have MS networking installed). If you don't you don't need it.
