I want to try it on a piece of my lawn and see if it greens things up a lot, I've read that iron is many times the missing key. So I ordered some. I think it is water soluble. Better to put some in one of my spray can things that I attach to my hose, or just take handfulls of it and throw it out as evenly as I can and wait for rain?

THanks!

For such a large area, get a soil analysis done. Depends on what your native soil is like, but it seems more likely the lawn needs nitrogen.

It's probably safer to pets and wild animals to put it down dry unless you water it in well.

I've used it in the past.. It did "green up the lawn". Use less than you think.. Its easy to over apply and the grass will turn a greyish black. Also keep it off concrete as the iron will cause difficult to remove rust stains on driveway ,sidewalk etc.
