Any tips for a webcam interview?

I have never turned on my webcam on my laptop but a certain 10 minutes long interview requires it as the first screening process.

I can't see them but they can see me. Any tips on how to come across positively? Where is the best place to do it and should I try to have some fake smile while I talk? I don't have much time left so serious replies only

i would wear pants regardless. Also that is a weird set up (you not being able to see you)... i can only assume it's for porn.

That's a bit sketchy. Never seen any reputable company conduct a one way interview.

It's for a graduate program, actually. Reputable school and it's like a video interview required to add into the overall application before moving to an actual in-person interview.
