Hi,

I just won quite big amount of money at horse racing :p and I decided to invest it in new system :) . The only thing I'm not sure about is monitor. I'm almost ready to go for EIZO F980 but I would hate to spend over $2,000 (where I live it's more expensive than in US :( ) if I could buy something better for same bucks. Any suggestion?
Cheers,

My wife uses the Sony 21" F500R, and it's the best monitor I've ever looked at. She paid around $1900.

That's interesting... I can buy Sony F500R about $450-500 less than EIZO F980, that's $1,950 (VAT included) comparing to ~$2,400 (for EIZO). I need to have closer look on this Sony... There seems to be no big differences betwen those two "babes"... ;)

Eizo makes a 50" plasma display for a mere $17,000 that looks pretty sharp. You can even panel them up in multiples and build your own Jumbotron.

Well, I just went to store to buy Sony, but ended up buying EIZO  . Anyways, I have only one thing to say: I'm impressed, wowed and delighted!!!
I think I wont be needing replacement for this monitor any soon... ;)

Cheers,

Over and out

EXCELLENT choice!!!
I have F980 myself and it is ONE GREAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT.
You will love it, especially when it comes to CAD applications, DVD but also games.

Eizo RULEZ!!!!! To hell with Sony!!!!
