Any thoughts on this Heatsink

Why don't you use Thermalright XP-90 .. it's cheaper and is the best. Why screw around with inferior crap that costs more money?

I wouldn't call anything made by Swiftech a piece of crap. All their products are absolutely top notch.

I use a Swiftech MCX4000 on my 2.8MHz (OC'ed to 3.2) P4C Abit IC7-G machine and it keeps my CPU nice and cool. I use a Swiftech MCX159P passive on my NB and I get better temps now than I did with Abit's active cooled NB HSF.

Thermalright XP-90

Swiftech MCX478-V

You can't go wrong with either one.

I am looking into the xp-90 seriously. It's about the same price, but its hard to find and will have to buy from an unfamiliar reseller. I just want some input on this heatsink. I like to research product to a great extent. I've heard of other that have used this particular product and have a great success with it. I've also looked into the xp-94 but no one has that in stock and I believe it has been discontinued. I looked into the XP-120, and I found that motherboard compatibility is shaky and this heatsink is a high cost.

I can get the swiftech at newegg which is normally where I get my parts, but they are out of stock on the xp-90. I would rather gets my parts from newegg if possible, but I'm willing to get what I need elsewhere if needed.

I also needs to order a few fans. Sidewinder cost $3 more for the 80mm I want and $0.90 more for the 2 120mm fans I want.

What I want to know is has anyone used the swiftech cooler to give me a reasonable opinion.

sidewinder has lower shipping costs normally, when you purchase more than one item.
