keep the sound blaster live in there. my system is doing good. one word of advice... avoid the chrome orb cooler, i had a bad experience with it. There's a post about it in this board.

$2500 Canadian for that system is a huge ripoff!

Those components in Canadian dollars add up to no more than $1500. Somebody is obviously trying to rip you off dude.

Go to Onvia.ca and price out the parts yourself if you don't believe me.

By the way, you can save a couple hundred dollars and keep your PC100 RAM instead of buying PC133 SDRAM. The performance difference is not noticable. Trust me.

I say wait just a little longer for the next gen AMD DDR chipsets... they should be out pretty soon and your system should serve you well for at least another half year... unless your a big gamer that is. Also look for the Aopeon 16X DVDROM rather than the Pioneer... faster, quieter, and has digital output which is important if you want to watch DVDs. my $.02

Actually the peformance difference between PC100 and PC133 is quite noticeable. I gained 7fps in Q3 after enabling it. Eitherway, why bother buying a new computer, if you're going to use old technology. I'd alos highly recommend dumping generic RAM and getting crucial instead. In case you want a comparison, I built myself a slightly more powerful system for around $1400 us dollars. That includes mouse, keyboard, speakers and etc. I paid $300 extra for 19" Samsung monitor.
