Quick update, to the Archos news we've had rolling lately. US buyers can now pick up the Archos G9 Turbo line of tablets at their promised 1.5 GHz; the US store is now offering the 8" and 10.1" variants for $269 and $329 respectively, with 8GB of NAND on board. These TI OMAP 4460 powered tablets will be our first chance to see what kind of performance can be wrung out of OMAP 4 when pushed to their fastest clock speed.

Doesn't seem too bad, considering the specs. Resolution isn't anything to write home about though, and prior Archos models have used poor quality screens. Any takers?

I heard the image quality on those things are abysmal. Now that Apple has a HD dispay on their tablet, I won't accept anything less than 1080p.

I'm waiting patiently for some reviews and to find out if it's really has 1GB RAM. Aside from that it pretty much fits what I need from a device. Love the form factor, specs look good, and price is right. Wish it had a higher res screen, but not a dealbreaker.

The main detractor is resale value.

According to the XDA forum, users are already getting the 1GB versions. I have the 512MB non turbo version and love it. Had to send it back for RMA though, word is they are sending back turbo units. Hopefully I get one. I do wish the screen was a little higher resolution but I really like the screen size. 7" tablets seem to small for me and 10" are ginormous.
