How British? The major commercial brands like Bass, Guinness, Harp and New Castle should be available in most major supermarkets. If you want the more obscure stuff you'll probably have to go to a package store.

I'm not sure of the brand but I think it's the one with honey in it. But this is not for me so I thought some British beer connoisseurs would know what I'm talking about generally...
Not sure where to buy them, but there is Hobgoblin ESB, Old Peculiar, anything by Samuel Smith, Fuller's ESB or Porter, Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Most boutique grocers will carry a descent stock. We have Kroger's, Fresh Market, & Whole Foods chains in the Mid-South that carry English Ales & Stouts.
NYC? Heh. Bloomberg has probably already outlawed beer there too. Actually, probably just tall boys, 40 ozs and growlers. Because the size of the container is actually whats making us fat...right.
