Hey I just upgraded from a overclocked Asus V6800 32mb Geforce DDR to a Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS. Well I bought it OEM of the forum it was suppost to be a 32mb version but in 3Dmark,driver info page and sandra it's saying it's a GTS with 64mb onboard memory. Either I got lucky or my system is lieing to me but it wasnt tested by the guy as it was still sealed. Anyway heres the problem.

My specs:
Duron@950 100x9.5
128mb PC100@CAS2
Asus A7V
SB Live
ect
ect
ect

Anyway heres the scores:

3Dmark2001:
Asus=2616@1024x768 32bit(default)
Visiontek=2728@1024x768 32bit(default)

Counter Strike:
Asus=70FPS@1024x768 32bit
Visiontek=around the same as the Asus

That doesnt sound right to me but I am sure Visiontek Gefores ain't the best. Any suggestions? I have all the latest drivers as far as I know.

 
The 3dmark2001 scores are about right for that card. So are the scores for CS. Those are pretty good scores so i wouldnt worry about it.
 
Which Operating System, Detonater drivers are you using? Did you overclock youre GTS? I wouldnt worry about the memory, yes its probably just a 64mb GTS, but there is not much performance, except at like 1600x1200 resolution, and even then only miner. but sure its nice to buy a 32mb GTS and get a 64mb GTS by mistake! 🙂

hmm anyways back to your score, that score seems ok for a non-overclocked GTS, but overclocking it and using best driver will sure increase your score!


Best drivers for 3Dmark 2001 for me are:
Detonaters 12.60(but try 12.90's also, heard good stuff about them)
make sure you have latest VIA 4 IN 1 drivers(4.32 official)
and of course overclock your GTS!

I used Powerstrip to overclock the core/mem of my Asus 32mb GTS, and Geforce Tweak Utility for the other speed settings.

I will give some of those a try Lisa. I went from 12.21(I think) to 12.41 then 6.50's. The 6.50's suck my score dropped 400 points when going to these.

I will ininstall my current and try the 12.60's and 12.90.
