Any suggestions for hotels/eats/drinks/things to do in O'ahu (Hawaii)?

I think we paid $25pp all in, snorkel + transportation + entrance. My first time snorkeling so I enjoyed the docile fish. YMMV.

OK, Yeah I get the first time snorkeling thing. It's probably OK for that. I'm a certified diver, so I'm probably more picky that most. lol.

<--also a diver

It's a good beginner's spot and really easy to get to. Every time I've been there it's with people who barely glance at a pool and possess questionable athletic capability...so the least challenging environment is a wise choice IMO.

In the larger context of this thread I'd only stay a two or three nights on Ohau then move on to Maui or the Big Island for more sights to see.

I was going to ask also, Why O'hau? Are you going for work? If not, and you haven't booked flights yet, I would recommend Maui or Kauai a 1000x over O'ahu.

My first ever dive was with Tiny Bubbles in Maui. Even if he has booked flights he could still get a RT inter-island flight for (likely) fairly reasonable prices. Just be aware that the commuter terminal used by non-Hawaian Airlines inter-island flights is a bit removed from the main terminal at HNL which could complicate connections - not that we had to run outside in the heat and humidity with our luggage or anything...

Stayed at the Moana Surfrider in Waikiki Beach when I went there a few years ago. Very nice hotel. I wasn't a big fan of Waikiki Beach cause I felt it was a little like Miami Beach.

Places to visit:
Diamond Head
Pearl Harbor
Rent a car and check out the beaches on the north shore as they're quieter and more scenic imo.

Also, if you're going there for 7 days, you might wanna check out another island. We did 3 islands in 10 days. You don't need more than 2 or 3 days in Honolulu.
