What I know about programming: ____________________________! That's it!!! Any suggestions for any understandable books or sites that I can read to start learning how to program? I've seen some different types of software packs at Best Buy that are suppose to give you a start. Anyone have any valuable feedback on those? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

umm get started on visual basic since that is the easiest to learn, plenty of good books out about it and if you are a student, the academic version is not too expensive.

I started with Java. It's free to download from java.sun.com, and there are plenty of beginners books available for it.
