Just looking for experienced suggestions before I put together my first AMD system.

Raid will not be used at this time. I am also building a duplicate system that will have no IDE devices, but will have a 10,000rpm IBM scsi drive as boot
 
Holy crap, moms buying junior a pc for christmas!!! No, seriously. If youre not going to use the RAID then opt for the new Asus 266a board or even the Epox +. Check out for reviews of all 3 in the last week or so.

It doesnt matter! The system will still work no matter what slots are used (or at least its supposed to!)
