will add rounded cables and a blue or green cathode light

Raid will not be used at this time. I am also building a duplicate system that will have no IDE devices, but will have a 10,000rpm IBM scsi drive as boot

Holy crap, moms buying junior a pc for christmas!!! No, seriously. If youre not going to use the RAID then opt for the new Asus 266a board or even the Epox +. Check out for reviews of all 3 in the last week or so.

I have already "aquired" all these parts.
I was hoping for some configuration suggestions as in what slots to use etc

It doesnt matter! The system will still work no matter what slots are used (or at least its supposed to!)
