If you game on it, why not get something like an Audigy2. Other than that, I am not sure that raid 0 is worth it.

Forgot to mention that you actually got a nice system.

Thanks. I thought the RAID 0 made the hard drive access faster? Also would the Audigy 2 really make a difference?

Ah that's a pretty nice system :) I have rig envy now hehe. Like JZilla said maybe a new sound card if you have the speakers to back it up. But then again I'm not sure how good/bad Soyo's onboard sound is.

raid 0 makes load times decrease(i.e.OS,games levels)
but it makes access times go up because of latency

ehhh the onboard sound is cheap. I only have 2 speakers and a subwoofer. I don't have 4.1 or 5.1 etc etc so the only reason I would upgrade sound is for the performance boost if there is any? is there?

What would benefit me more?

With a system like that what else can you do?
Maybe get the Audigy and some awsome speakers. Looks like you must be into gaming. Great sound is fun!

Regarding raid 0: Good ?, try and check out the article on storagereview.com. I'm not the expert on anything (oops), especially not raid.

I think there is a small performance boost when having a "real" soundcard, as it dont use the cpu. But try and check some sound card reviews to see how much performance you can gain. Although if your not a gamer and really want those fps, or dont plan to buy good speakers to listen to mp3 or use surround sound, dont care about it.
