Any such backup-to-CD solution available?

Is there anything that I can use to backup around 15GB to CD-R without compression and/or packing (i.e. it copies files while preserving directory structure, when it hits the limit it goes to the next CD).

I'm looking to backup some of my data and media files but I still want them to be accessible without 3rd party software if I pop in the CD.

Ya, 2 things i can think of,

1) Copy the files to cd (Did i even need to say this? :roll😉
2) Use microsoft backup and backup everything to a file, you can set how big each file wants to be, so if you made each a max of 700mb then you could fit them all on to disk. I have tried this method and it worked very well. Not too good though because it uses a hell of a lot of cds 🙁

I was hoping for something less "manual", e.g. dialog pops up "insert blank cd"... burn... dialog "insert next blank cd"... burn... dialog... burn... etc. 😀

Anyway, I was considering both 1 and 2 (leaning more towards 1), but I thought "hey maybe post in the forums first, someone might come up with a better solution".... 😛

I think HandyBackup is able to do what you are looking for. I use it for other purposes (create a zip of my emails and documents and burn it to a RW erasing the old backup) but it may very well do what you are looking for.

Looks cool, not free but I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip.
