Any subaru family out there? (Impreza only)

Nothing says "sports car" like endless, soul-crushing understeer and a power band that drops off the planet 2000 RPM before the already-low redline.

personal preference... i don't really care about your family sedan.

Yeah, its true that it was. We live near Chicago, lots of salt out here. The thing that gets me about it is that I've had old cars before and I've worked on old cars that aren't mine and never heard of such nonsense. Of course it was corrosion, but I think inferior parts also are a factor.

Can't really come to that conclusion based on one occurrence.

I've actually had to work on my steer rack in a 01 Impreza 2.5rs.. Had to replace one of the tubes your talking about and it was a total bitch.. parts seemed very sturdy though.. didn't notice anything low quality about it.

I replaced the line with the rack still on the car.. don't know how I did it.. a lot of swearing.

Btw the line was messed up by cheap replica borla headers that were made wrong.. slammed into the lines at an Autocross, spraying fluid all over the exhaust for my second run lol.

whats up?

Sexy hatch! That's what I am talking about! Idk why people can't read... I am extremely picky when it comes to my life... My life consists of only 4 things. Cars, Computers, Women, and my career in the Air Force. That's it.
Extremely picky about all of those things haha.

That's all well and good. But, this is the internet and it is brutal yet nice. Fun yet mean. Horrific and yet sexy...

I am still sometimes completely amazed at how badly people can fail at reading comprehension. But, I'm adjusting. So, while it happens just as often, I am surprised about it happening much less.

BTW: There are some people who will comprehend what you write perfectly fine and then go ahead and reply as they wish. Sometimes it's sole purpose is to get a reaction out of you and sometimes not. Please don't ever suggest that you haven't been warned.

Some might say that you are extremely closed minded.

subaru is pretty cheap make- looking at their prices, they have no car over $34k, and one that is 34k is going out of production.

Any body with a nice sports car.... Like I said impreza only I'll make an exception for the LGT, but that's it... Idc about your pos Lexus or fozzy. Made that clear in Op

You are aware that an Impreza/Legacy is NOT a sports car right? They are sedans.

But mellow out a bit. No reason to be so closed minded. If you like your 4dr family sedan with all the issues they are prone too, awesome. Your life and money.

But this is the internet, and this is not a Subaru forum. Although many people in those forums are also pretty closed minded.

Yeah the Tribeca which is a really great car that was not advertised at all by Subaru.. Why did they even make it?? 99% of people don't know what it is.. its like they never wanted to sell it.

We have an Outback 4 cylinder 🙂 Good mileage for wagon-SUV, but there is a rattle in the headliner area that is annoying me, will wait until that is fixed to recommend it.

4 lyfe yo.

Welcome to the ATgarage, one of the least fanboy car forums I have participated in.

I have a truck, it hauls things around and drives well through the snow. I guess in that regard it is much like a large subie.

SO has an outback. I wish they kept making the wagons. the new ones suck.

This. ATG is great because any major fanboy crap is curbed out pretty quickly. This isn't Nasioc or ClubWRX or anything like that so it's a little silly to expect only the Suby owner's to chime in. We're all fans of (all sorts of) cars here  so welcome 🙂

Almost picked up a '12 WRX but i chose a bad time to buy due to the of shortages so the asking price was higher than I would have liked so here I am with my speed3. Loving it.

It's really simple... I am looking for some fellow Impreza owners. It's that simple. And like I said, LGT as well because those are nice too.
I am not interested in anything faster, or better looking, or cheaper, or more expensive. Idc about your opinion or preference, make your own thread.

With your huffy little attitude, you might want to pack up and go back to NASIOC.

I used to have a Forester XT, but once I left the frozen northern wasteland of NH, I sold it.

I'll chime in here 2013 Outback, I was looking at getting a WRX, but needed something my wife could get to work in during the ice storms we occasionally get.

Keep that attitude up and you won't last long here

Yup. Funny how new kids show up and think they can write the rules, isn't it?

I preferred the Forester XT's to the WRX's - bigger motor, cheaper, more ground clearance, and far more utilitarian. If I ever end up in snow again I'll be shopping for another one (or I'll turbo my Tacoma).

I live in northern PA, get plenty of snow every year, and every year when we get a snow day at work I take the WRX out to drift around. No reason you can't drive a WRX year round. I have also taken it through 2Ft of snow to the top of a mountain in fresh powder, had zero issues.
FXT's are ugly as #$(%

WRXs are great in snow - but unless you get a newer model you get a tiny little two liter. And yep, not prettiest thing on the block. Which incidentally makes it even better when WRXs can't keep up. 😉

I never had the luxury of snow days (I worked in northern NH with a career that doesn't let you stay home), but any Subaru is fantastic in snow.

 Your Forester was bitchin. I should have had you take me for a ride in it when you visited.
