I'm jealous of my one friend who's still in college. She's applying to a study abroad program that includes:

* 25 day live aboard Sailing voyage
* Island and Rainforest exploration
* Community service
* 25+ Scuba dives
* PADI Certifications: Open Water, Advanced Open Water, U/W Naturalist, Fish ID

$5280 (Includes tuition, room, board, meals, scuba dives and certification, program activities, student support throughout the program. Tuition does not include international airfare, travel insurance and personal expenses)

I would LOVE to do something like this, but I'm no longer in college. Are there any programs that are like this, but for non-students?

unfortunately i dont know any programs out there for people out of college. however when most ppl study abroad its not even for school, its for traveling thats "subsidized". if you wanted to travel then i'd advise you to just do it with a group of friends.

I'm not really looking for a shoot the shit kind of vacation with friends. I want something structured - get 4 scuba certs while being taught marine biology in the Caribbean, learn about the ecology and zoology of the Serengeti during a 15 day safari, learn about geology during a two week dayhiking tour through Europe, etc.

I'm not eligible to attend these "subsidized" programs because they require you to be a student, be in this major, have this GPA, etc.
