Well I would'nt do it if it's illegal in the state. Mainly we were thinking about traveling for the fourth and I thought It might be a good idea (since we did'nt have any place in mind) to show my boys these in state where legal. Alas they will miss it, like they missed steel high speed merry-go-rounds of yesteryear:(
Well come on up to Portland if you want to see it. While the big fireworks are illegal here, you wouldn't know it. The close proximity of a lot of Indian Reservations plus lax enforcement of fireworks laws makes for a big bang every year. Big mortar balls and M-80's everywhere. I remember driving the length of the city on I-5 on the afternoon of the 4th from my old place in outer SW to my sister's in North (you can view the big Vancouver Fireworks celebration, biggest on the west coast, from her house) like 2 years ago, and the entire city was blanketed from the smoke of fireworks. The park a few blocks from her house was like a war zone.

It was very cool :D
I concur. ;)

The best is to hit up the reservations on the 4th, or the day after. A lot of the big stuff is gone, but you get killer deals...

Did that once, and got some M70's(were out of M80s)... they would blow half the water out of a 5 gallon bucket, heh.

Yep.

Though I don't understand why they get all the cool stuff just because they can't read or write or do anything useful.

Geez Man I sure hope that was sarcastic .

I doubt that there was a PBS special... unless there was something about the nearby Indian casions.

Do they still allow the metal sparklers in the Peoples' Socialist Democracy of CA? If so, there's an easy to get a BIG bang out of those. (but I won't say here)

I grew up in NM and would drive 20 miles out side of Santa Fe to the Indian Res and buy M-1000, M-150 and M-80 not sure if they still sell the 1000s but they still sell the 150s and 80s:D the 1000s we about 6in long and fat. You guys saw the pic of the toilet well the 1000 would have blowen it to tiny bits and put a big hole in the wall, I have seen it at my highschool. Dam I miss being a kid.

We were browsing a 99 cent store the other day, and they had wire sparklers for 6 packages/1$.. We bought like 8, and 2 rolls of electrical tape.

BOOM! :D
