Well come on up to Portland if you want to see it. While the big fireworks are illegal here, you wouldn't know it. The close proximity of a lot of Indian Reservations plus lax enforcement of fireworks laws makes for a big bang every year. Big mortar balls and M-80's everywhere. I remember driving the length of the city on I-5 on the afternoon of the 4th from my old place in outer SW to my sister's in North (you can view the big Vancouver Fireworks celebration, biggest on the west coast, from her house) like 2 years ago, and the entire city was blanketed from the smoke of fireworks. The park a few blocks from her house was like a war zone.Originally posted by: Zebo
Well I would'nt do it if it's illegal in the state. Mainly we were thinking about traveling for the fourth and I thought It might be a good idea (since we did'nt have any place in mind) to show my boys these in state where legal. Alas they will miss it, like they missed steel high speed merry-go-rounds of yesteryear![]()
It was very cool:evil:
The best is to hit up the reservations on the 4th, or the day after. A lot of the big stuff is gone, but you get killer deals...
Did that once, and got some M70's(were out of M80s)... they would blow half the water out of a 5 gallon bucket, heh.
