Any speculation why "Nehalem" is called Core i7?

Breaking it down piece by piece, and looking at it logically:


i7 = The world "Identical" has 2 letter "i"s in it, and so does "ingenious". Maybe they are saying the core features are identical to the ingeniousness of another word with an "i" in it, Istanbul.

i7 = 7 deadly sins, 7 seas. 7/31 flavors at Baskin Robins are actually pretty good. Need I say more?

Good point. The core line evolved from the Pentium III. Pentium IV was a deviation and also one of the reasons AMD did well for a while.
