Any special things I have to do with an SSD (setting wise)?

Quick version:

Ensure your board has the latest BIOS/UEFI.

Ensure BIOS / UEFI SATA controller is in AHCI mode. Or RAID if using RAID.

Ensure partitions are made aligned. Windows 7 partition editor during install with deal with this.

Ensure write-caching is enabled on the drive.

Install latest RST drivers.

Disable superfetch and prefetch. Never run defrag. (Personal preference) disable hibernation.
