any software to get data off of a newly formatted hard drive?

a computer in the office crashed and I did a reformat and now the employee needs a file off the old one, any way to get it back?
 
Im quite sure youre not SOL. The bytes are still there unless you used something to wipe the disk (eg PGP). There MUST be something you can use, but since i dont know i guess this is a bump... 🙂
 
The Format has wiped out the primary FAT.

There is usually a secondary FAT available, it will depend on what/if anything has been done to the disk whether the secondary FAT is useable.
