Any software for dual monitor ?

I have been using Actual monitor but it's a trial as its a paid software. Any free alternative you would like to recommend for dual monitors/Displays?

I've never even heard of such a thing, since windows and the GPU drivers have been able to do this for the last 15 years at least.

You plug in the monitor, then select "Extended display" in the Windows settings, and it works as an extended display...
Or press Windows + P on Vista or later to get the same option.

I will say, sometimes the Windows software can be touchy. Have to plug the monitor in when everything is off, or sometimes when everything is on. Or PC is on second monitor is off etc etc. If it doesn't work the first time try all the combos till you get the right one.

I think the most common is PC on with second monitor on or off before plugging in.

Oh also, best to have matching resolutions...if one is off, they may both have to run at odd settings to work.

Under "Control Panel" go to "appearance and personalization" and click on "adjust screen resolution". With both monitors connected you will be able to extend the desktop and select what monitor you want to use as the primary.

Using Actual Monitors here... it's quite useful for games like Titan Quest where you should be able to drag the mouse outside the game window to scroll, but instead of scrolling it simply leaves the game and heads to the second monitor.

What? Use WinKey + cursor keys and you can make any window in Windows snap to half a screen on any display using multiple displays.
Drag and drop to a side to snap it doesn't work, but using Winkey + Cursor works fine on multiple monitors for 1/2 screen snap.

displayfusion was great for windows 7, but 8/8.1 does a lot of the core features natively
