Any socket 775 mobos that take DDR3, but 4GB DIMMs?

All of the newer AMD and Intel boards take 4GB DDR3 dimms, AM3, 1156, 1155, 1366. But I was wondering about the older Socket 775 boards. None of the DDR2 chipsets for 775 took larger than 2GB DIMM, I think, with the possible exception of P45, which might have taken 4GB DDR2. But many of those chipsets could also take DDR3. Anyone know of ones that could take 4GB DIMMs? What about chipsets that are cut-down derivatives of P45? G41/G43?

I think you are wrong about that. It looks to me like any of the 4x chipsets support 4gb dimms. All you have to do to find out is do a quick search on the Intel web site.

For example when I searched for G43 chipset I got this:
http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/chipsets/G43/G43-overview.htm?wapkw=%28g43+chipset)

Do the same for G41 if yo want but for G43 it says 16 GB of DDR2 Ram is supported and to get 16GB in 4 slots, you obviously have to use 4GB DIMMS.

EDIT: Ok, I couldn't resist - I went back and searched on G41 chipset and discovered it only supports 8 GB total RAM. So it looks like G43, G45 and P45 = Yes but G41 = No.

My P5E3 Wi/Fi X48 Premium does, but it only takes 8 gigs max of memory, so only 2 dimms can be occupied.
