Any soccer players here? (Yes I'm american so I say "soccer"
Personally, I think soccer is one of the most physically demanding sports, coupling endurance running with strength and sprints. Some of the worst sport injuries I've seen have been from soccer. (I imagine injuries in shooting could be pretty bad though)
In the US I think people have a real skewed idea of what soccer is. It's way more physical than it seems on TV. I guess the other big complaints I hear is the low scoring and that you can't actually see the strategy (unless you are involved in soccer yourself) like you can in American football. I can't see any strategy in basketball but I guess the high scores make up for that right?
Any opinions?
