Any simple programs showing sound levels

One of the science topics I am teaching this term (UK year 5 age 9-10) is around sound, does anyone have any simple programs which can display the sound picked up through a mike. i.e. like in windows media player when you have visualisation running. (can you even set it up to use these ?) ideally it would be noise levels bars with green/yellow/red.
