I'm going to be upgrading to an NForce4 board so need a PCIe card. I don't game at all, but am interested in 2D performance for text, Photoshop and video (I also want to try out PureVideo). Is there any reason to get either a 6200 or 6500 instead of the other? It seems the 6500 series is less known and even somewhat overlooked on the nVidia site, but their specs are nearly identical.

6200 128bit >= 6500 > 6200TC 64bit

6500 is basically an overclocked 6200TC, but not much difference in performance to the original 6200 128bit - advantage of the 128bit 6200 is that it may be 'unlockable' (i.e. unlock 4 extra pipes to turn it into a 6600 vanilla).

I still have a 6200 128 bit from when they were just 6600's with pipes locked, it unlocked and performed just like a 6600 128mb 128bit, even overclocked well with the nv silencer on it, if you can track one of those down in FS/T I would highly reccomend them, great card for a VERY unbeatable price.

I honestly don't really remember for sure but, I think defaults were 300/500 and I was pushing 500/600, if memory serves. Great little card, especially for less than $100 well over a year ago.
