Any Sharpness filters for video in available? - also getting "ghosts" on video capture

Finally got my video-in setup working nicely, really nice picture and all even off a composite source (Playstation 2 currently). The only thing I'm having trouble with is some of the "thinner" lines and text showing up very very blurred or almost invisible - as if the lines are too thin. Are there any sharpness filters I can apply to the input and/or output of the capture or realtime preview that can clear this up?

The other thing, I tried capturing some video to see how well it work, again, used my PS2 as a source. One of the problems I noticed is that there was a semi-transparent ghost image seemingly half a frame or so behind the current image showing up constantly. I have a feeling this is from interlacing, but how do I fix that?

Thanks for the help in advance.

what program are you using for the video in? I've tried Dscaler and it works beautifully plus it has a sharpness filter in it. You should try dscaler and see if it fixes your problem.
