any secrets to grow taller?

I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned the REAL reason that men want to be tall - to get noticed by WOMEN! If you're below average in height ... that basically decimates your chance with a good proportion of women. Anybody have statistics on this?


Your right, it was on 20/20 a while ago i think. They let a panel of women pick from a buncha men with random job descriptions and stuff. The women would pick the taller over the ones with better jobs

Well that and its good to be tall for jobs and stuff. Hard to respect a short boss

When I was younger I ate A LOT of eggs. My mom is 5'3 and my dad is 5'11 and I am 6'0. I really do think it was the amount of eggs I ate when I was young that got me taller. I was a fatass, but hey I was a tall fatass

I read that the taller you are, the more money you make: for every ince taller than another man, you make $10,000 more. that just REALLY sucks.

c'mon, there's no secret to growing taller. You get what you get. Thinking that you can magically make yourself taller is like thinking that you can make your penis bigger by pulling on it. I can tell you, I've pulled on mine constantly for years, and it's still the same size it has always been.

If you eat a high protein/high calcium diet as a child & a teenager, all things else being equal, you'll be taller as an adult, than if you didn't.

That's why the average westerner today is about half a foot taller on average than their great parents were at the same age.

Really its a combination of ones genetics & ones diet in the formative years, before & during puberty.

It also helps if you want to be President of the US. I think you can count on one hand those that achieved the office who were under six feet tall.

just let nature take its course and be happy with the final height you reach. Personally, I'm 5'6&quot; and have always been thinking to myself, &quot;if only i could have gained a few more inches...&quot; But you have to realize and think about those who are less fortunate than you, or who might be taller but have disabilities or be handicapped. Once you see it in that perspective, i think that you will be fine with your height.

I'm not saying that being taller is bad. I think it's true that girls look at taller guys than shorter ones, but you just have to make up for it with size, witt, brains, or something else to get their attention, heh.

I don't buy that, I've seen many asians that are tall (or avg height) at college. And if that masturbation thing is true, we'd live in a world of midgets!
