DASM! I'm going to miss it.  I was in SD for 10 days and just got back.  Don't forget to invite Hambergerpimp, he's from Diego also.

I was there; it was not a mid-air collision.  They were passing each other underwater, going in opposite directions at a high rate of speed-- and they hit.
From what we understood the male and female had had a little tiff earlier in the day.  The trainers speculated that the collision was supposed to be nudge or jostle to the other Orca.  Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, the females jaw broke and was forced backwards.
Was one of the saddest moments I ever saw.  The Orca came onto the shallow skid pad looking to the trainers for help, lots of blood.  Was really sad.
