I have had some Brooks in the past, however now I think New Balance makes the best runnings shoes for the average runner.
The biggest reason why I prefer New Balance is that they come in a much greater variety of sizes and it seems much easier to find a shoe that fits much better.
By the way, I believe the Army does not do PT in their combat boots. You may do some jogging here and there with them, but all of your standard PT and your final run will be done in atheltic shoes. In fact, I think the Army uses New Balance.

I don't know much about running shoes, but I were told that the best are the flat bottom ones. You know, the ones that don't have the arch in the middle.
No, because you're suppose to "roll" your feet when you run. You plant your heels and kinda "roll" toward your toes. I was a Marine, and that's how they taught us to run, we were suppose to get the best possible running form, so we don't hurt ourselves in training. We were some running fools I tell ya, and we ran for miles, I hated running, but I had to 🙁.Originally posted by: fyleow
I think those are only for speed, if you run 10 miles with those kinds of shoes you will be hurt.Originally posted by: cr4zymofo I don't know much about running shoes, but I were told that the best are the flat bottom ones. You know, the ones that don't have the arch in the middle.
