Is it good quality? How's it taste? I always use optimum nutrition but I haven't used whey in a while and was fucking shocked to see it was $53 for 5 lbs! I remember when it was $25...
I was reading something about heavy metals or something being found in a lot of powders when reviewed by readers digest or something. I wonder how this one is.

Syntha-6 is garbage for a protein supplement because it's full of sugar.
It has an excellent protein profile and 2 grams of sugar, lol. It does have sucralose as most do. I can't speak for anyone else, but it's been excellent for me and night-and-day results from others mentioned here. And since when is 2g of sugar worse than high metal/inorganic arsenic content.![]()
14grams of "sugar", you're fooling yourself if you think those other carbs don't convert to sugar in your belly. The "protein profile" thing is a myth, whey is whey is whey. You're paying money for the waste product of the dairy industry. As long as it doesn't give you the shits from containing too much lactose it's all basically the same thing.
The consumer reports article was garbage. Everything you eat contains stuff that is bad for you. If I recall correctly the worst offender on that list still contained less heavy metals than your average serving of chicken breast.
Edit: Holy shit just checked the label again and now Syntha-6 contains soy? Overpriced garbage.
I bought Costco once, and didn't like it. Felt like it was very hard to mix - it would stay clumpy (I only use water and a knife to stir). I buy it online now - either 3*2lb containers at Walmart, or 5lb or 10lb containers from Amazon.
Almost exclusively. Can't wait for someone to come in saying something about protein absorption in water vs milk....ROFLAny mix whey with milk instead of water for extra calories?
Any mix whey with milk instead of water for extra calories?
