Hey guys, i'm looking to get a temporary pci or pci-e video card for my long awaited rig ( i just cant wait anymore).... i am looking to spend Less than $50 i guess so i headed to ebay which is full of price gouging and so many many many cards.

Anybody have any recommendations on a strong yet cheap temp pci video card w/ Vga and Tv-Out?

So many terms i do not understand, damn i got a headache with all that price gouging on ebay.

get the following. the geforce4mx/2mx cards are DX7 only but ran madden 12x10 medium settings well. good temp card, hell i have a geforce2ultra as my temp card.

the
geforce4mx are slightly faster than the geforce2ultra

geforce2mx are slower than the geofrce2 ultra and

the geforce mx4000 are slightly slower than the geforce2 ultra
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-130-217&depa=1

or get a radeon7500(faster than a 7000 which is painfully slow, but the 7500 is still slower than an ultra, about as fast as the geforce mx4000)

or if you have $52-60 buy a 9200se(DX8.1 compliant and faster than the mx cards.)

6 of one, half-dozen of the other...really doesn't matter. Just make sure that the one you pick has a 128-bit memory interface instead of 64-bit slowness.

what do you guys think of a:
POWERCOLOR RADEON 9250 256MB DDR - R92P-LD3?
128-bit system architecture

I've been hearing people say 9250's are bad so i got worried.. they might be speaking of the 64-bit 9250's though...

That one is almost guaranteed to be a 128-bit card. Although it's too slow to make use of all that memory, you almost have to buy a 256mb PCI card nowadays to know you will be getting one that is not 64-bit. It's decent enough as far as PCI cards go. How much would you be paying for it?

great idea, i saw that before on newegg, good sh!t, but should i use that card since it is 64-bit...?

also does it have purevideo? i feel that is a great feature since i have a wintv-go card (kinda bad quality i hear) and there is a $80 6600 on newegg

Actually, newegg has a gigabyte 6600 PCIe refurbed for $68 and it smokes any of the lesser priced choices. Reviews on this card show an easy core OC to 600 and memory to 575. The only reason I listed that 6200 was it was closer to your $50 cap, but the memory on that particular card is slow, worse than stock 6200s. So, if you want something to keep a bit, go for the 6600 for sure or spend another $5 for a stock 6200 and mod it. If you want to stick closer the $50 though, the 6200 I listed is much, much better than other cards listed and will have some resale value.
