Any recommendations for a new luxuryish Coupe?

Was looking at an A5 previously but Audi's lease deals blow considering the cost of their vehicles so back to the drawing board. Anyone here have a C250 Coupe that would like to share their experiences? Would rather not go 3 series (they're everywhere here in Socal).

I just helped my friends father purchase a C250 sedan a few weeks ago. BMW 328i vs C250 Id have to give to the C250, the engine is torquey enough to feel better than the old C300 and gets better mileage as well. You can get pretty ridiculous deals on them right now. I had a loaner C250 while they were putting running boards on our new ML, I put about 150 miles on it both freeway and city and didn't really have anything but praise for it, to be honest I'd actually have given it a chance vs the 335i I have right now if I didn't care about the power.

We actually bought it at Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach, PM me if you want my salespersons info, she deals in volume so its pretty much best deal on the table as the first thing.

BMW 128i/135i?

I have a 135i. I wouldn't classify it as luxurious. Sure it has a great looking interior and it is well made, but it is not in the class of what I would consider a 2 door touring car. IMO, 6 series. 😉

For more a practical approach. ever think about a brand new Accord V6 Coupe? they come with leather and NAV and are really nice cars and they have a V6 6speed combo thats just AWESOME!

So you want to spend under $40K on a luxury coupe.

Only about 6-options on the new list and you knocked off the Audi & BMW.

I'll throw out the
VW GTI-R Spec
Mustang V6/GT with Premium package & glass roof
Accord Coupe - 276HP V6 and quite sporting with great looks

Used E46 M3? I'm sure there is a member here who could chime in on this if he's not off polishing his leather.

Oh, and LOL at the mustang suggestion... Good one!

Doesn't sound to me like OP is all that concerned with performance, and even pure luxury doesn't sound a huge priority (hence the -esque suffix).

G25, G37, or IS250 sound like the ticket to me. Only the G37 is fairly quick, but the others are fast enough to putter around LA in (not like there's a lot of opportunity to see much speed in that area to begin with).

Better reliability, cheaper, still nice entry-lux comfort/features, and they're not really any less presigious badge-wise than entry-level BMW/Audi/Mercedes.

If OP is only leasing for a couple of years before switching to some other new vehicle, and doesn't care, then my #1 advice is to just go test all the candidates and see which one 'feels' right.

I like this idea, with everything you could want you can get the V6 for 37k or less and the GT loaded for 43k or less.

I actually test drove the mustang... the visibility out of the side and rear window is TERRIBLE and I find the seats really uncomfortable :\

Otherwise I love the styling and performance of the new mustang!

OMG no.

That thing might as well be a boat. It has some of the worst suspension, which is par for the course for every Mustang I've ever driven. I am a fan of the motor, but that's about as far as it goes.

OP...what HAVE you driven so far? What have you driven in the past? I'm probably biased, but give that 335i a drive. I think you'll really enjoy it. If you want an automatic, opt for a newer one with the DCT, else, manual all the way.

So... uh... this should be stating the obvious, but why not just a CTS coupe? It doesn't have to be a V. If you're not looking for balls out performance, you can save about $20-30K by just getting a standard CTS, which is no slouch by itself with a 300hp+.
