My Mom-In-Law bought a 2011 E350 sedan last summer and she paid $45k for it. We shopped around quite a bit and this was the best we could do.

Yes, this can be done in August when the next year models are available. There are big incentives from manufacturer to dealership to clean out last year's models.

Is the $45K before TTL or after TTL? I still find it hard to believe if it includes TTL, which means she got the car for $41k or something, which is $10K below MSRP. $5k off is normal for clearances in late summer, $10k is bit more difficult.

Four months ago would have been 2011. So, 2011. But I was a little wrong. It was August so five.
It's interesting that your conclusions are diametrically opposite from literally everyone else's.

Such is life, I suppose.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. :)

Here are some others...

Through undulating high-speed sweepers, I identified the pony’s biggest problem: lack of rebound damping. It’s so damned fast, and the front end bites so well, that it’s possible to really unsettle the rear and send it skyward. It’s not the fault of the axle, because the five-liter doesn’t suffer from the same issue.

Around town, the car feels tied down, with ride motions reminiscent of a muscle car. Cool. At speed, however, especially around tight turns on bumpier roads, the live rear axle walks out on you just at the wrong time. And the shock calibration leaves a lot to be desired.

But interestingly, these still had the GT's suspension. Not the base V6. I can't comment on the GT's version as I've yet to drive it. And most reviews also have the GT's suspention. However, having actually driven the thing, I'm pretty sure I can comment. Have you?

Hey look, more about the V6 crap mustang....

Also the story you posted, and then claim it is the same suspension actually points out both the similarities, *and* the differences in the upgraded v6 and the GT suspension. Go back and read it again. You keyed on one shared thing between the two, and suddenly it is "the GT's suspension".

You aren't going to win.

Why are you so attached to the crap model for people who want a name isntead of a car? Oh yeah, because you can't find any internet reviews disparaging the real model.

This is a competition? What's the prize? Bigger Internet cojones? I didn't claim anything. I explicitly mentioned that it was the GT suspension and I can't comment on that, but WAS commenting on the issues they DID see with the GT suspension. Whether it was poor sentence composition or poor reading comprehension...whatever. I guess I should have explicitly said it was the base suspension I drove (oh wait, I did...). Or that I didn't drive the GT's suspension (oh wait...there too).

Fine...I digress. Someone other than me mentioned the V6 above. If everyone wants to fixate on the not base suspension so be it. All I was commenting on was that it's crap. I'll go drive a GT when I can then so I can come back and either confirm or change my opinion, which, after all is STILL just an OPINION. It's still a Mustang at the end of the day.

Still am curious to know who here has actually driven one, of any trim.

There is a 2012 mustang GT owner in my house. Personally, I drive a challenger, but the mustang (GT) is a nice car. I have traded my challenger for the mustang for a day before. While I prefer the extra room I have, I recognize that it's a personal preference and not something that makes the mustang a bad car.
