Just blew my power supply in on my Fong Kai case... Don't ask how. Anyways I figure I might as well replace the case too because I'm really pushing it it right now 3 HD, 1 3.5 floppy, and 2 DVD/CD drive. My main concern is that the HD aren't running as cool.

Anyways, I plan to buy a case that atleast has a hd cooler built in. Wasn't planing to spend more than $120 and didn't want anything more than a mid size. So when to my local frys and notice that the Antec 1030 look really good. But also I saw a cooler master case there too. Didn't care much for the aluminum built but I like the USB up front. So does any have any recommendation on a case that has good cooling (Hd too) and usb up front? Too bad I can't afford that cooler master...

Dollarbill... It's was real simple. First the burnt smell. Then I decided to open up the power supply and a chip fell out of it. Lastly, I replace it with another power supply.

😀

crazyjoekuta, I tired to mod it like that but the internal usb/motherboard cable was only 6inches long. Too short for me. Anyone know if it goes longer than 6inches. Perferably something past 14 inches or amI going to have to custom make this too? Thanks

LOL.. did it happen to be a Deer PSU? 😀

Just put a blowhole on the right side of your case focused on your hard drives. One 51 CFM 92mm Sunon keeps the four 7200 RPM IBM drives and one 5400 RPM drive in my box nice and cool. Spend the money you save on a better PSU like a 400 watt Antech, Sparkle or Enermax.
