Any recent local coop games?

I play local coop games with a friend as often as we can. We played through and loved both Gears games, but we're having trouble really finding anything new. Sacred 2 looks like it might be a good choice. Red Faction isn't local. Saints Row 2 isn't local. Fricken' nothing is local =/

50 Cent Blood in the Sand or whatever it's called is actually supposed to have a pretty good co-op.

For $14.99 used at Gamestop, it's a decent pick. There's plenty of cheese factor to it, but it's like watching an over-the-top action flick... if you take it for what it is, you'll love it.

it's only 2 people
and you can't play 4 people local or online

army of two is better coop than single...

True statement there. Ao2 has tons of fun if you just take the game for what it is, run around and shoot people. I don't think I've had as much fun on a console as having my buddy drawing fire with his SAW while I run around with a silenced pistol and knock em down from behind.


sooo fun, want to play again. The 2nd one that is in development looks great as well.

You can have two people on one console playing online at the same time. The only catch is that if both of them don't have XBL then one has to sign out and play as a guest. Their name will appear the same as the signed in player with a (1) following it.

I was going to suggest this.. I thought they did an especially good job requiring both people work together in some areas.

Not sure if local though, I was playing online.

Call of Duty: World at War has local co-op campaign as well as Nazi Zombies. No splitscreen + online at the same time though.
