any reasons why i should keep my CMI8738 PCI soundcard rather than using an onboard AC97 COdec (via chipset)???? im mostly in gaming and some music and just want to know.....

which mobo..and how fast a cpu and amt of memory..? I pulled the pci CMedia card out of mine and am using the onboard ALC650(Realtek) on my Epox 8k5a2+ ..sounds very good

here are my specs
Jet v266B KT266A Motherboard
AXP 1800+ @ (12.5x145Mhz)
256MB DDR

i think my onboard sound is ALC101.. and if i do use the onboard sound, which drivers would be best-from VIAARENA or from REALTEK themselves...
