Any reason why we never invaded Canada?

We would certainly appreciate some of those fine Jack In The Box franchises up here. I say go for it again, one of these times you'll be successful, and we'll all end up winning!

LoL. How Canadian!

US: move over, all your bases belong to us.
Canada: OK, sure. Sorry I was in your way.

America isn't the "popular one", although its popularity has improved since 2009:

Although admittedly, its a small sample size (29k people over 28 countries).

My Location 😀

And for the person above me, not everyone was a loyalist. There was a large rift between the English and French in this country until WW2. That rift was expanded heavily nearing the end of WW1 when conscription was introduced and many of the French refused to fight, because this was Britains war. And of course the Statue of Westminister soon came along, which made us a sovereign state and we were referred to as a commonwealth.

I wouldnt blame anyone. A lot of people think Canada is a horribad country, mainly of the stereotypes portrayed by the US media. =/

lol yea when you don't matter and so are inoffensive of course you can be popular.

so you are like coca cola.. don't pretend thats the same as being good. frankly its good to be hated by some, if you think 9/11 was done by the jews and would cut your daughters throat if she were raped or married someone you didn't like, i think i would take your hatred with pride.

Fair enough. Canada still isn't the popular one according to the statistics I linked.

And you extrapolate that how? I thought us Americans were supposed to be the smug ones...

LOL, at thinking polls are anything more than a shiny waste of money.

But really, in the grand scheme of things, what is the USA's popularity in the world?

And how don't we matter? Canada is among the leaders in technology, and is one the main suppliers of robotics in the Shuttle program.

muslims hate you for your freedom, because you're the only country to have that, right?

🙄

yea i'm sure you take the opinion of folks who can't even get basic facts right about even recent events seriously, esp when they seem to back your political biases. i guess you have to think that folks who think saddam did 9/11 are ok and you "respect" their opinion and their dislike of folks like you as well.

give me a break.

It really is too bad nested quoting is gone, because it might have hinted how I am backing your argument. Even being born and raised in America, I still see there is more.

My travels have been fairly limited, and I must submit we have a beautiful country here, I have been kind of scared as to hear opinions of those who inhabit it.

Sorry if you construed my post any other way, because my intent was definitely on the side of Canada. You have to realize I am one of the few Americans who is embarrassed when one of my own has no recollection of history...

OP, demonstrating the emphasis we put on a good education in American History in this country firsthand! Well done.

LOL, no doubt. I never knew we invaded Canada. Weird.

<-- 28, and a victim of public education

Woops, i misread your post. Sorry about that.

Popularity does not really matter when you operate 11 carrier fleets.

Yet having Universal Healthcare really hurts

Yeah, according to this the Philippines like us more than we like ourselves. Much more. I have a hard time believing that.

Oh, and I spent my entire life in US public schools and learned, from said schools, that we invaded Canada during the Revolutionary war. In 4th grade. Just saying...

*sigh* you really don't get it do you? The European nations have caved in, America is essentially propping up countries such as Germany with their training of German troops, and same with the Dutch.

America is the most willing and able to defend itself, all the other nations are broken. To these reactionary islamists, America needs to be targeted to break the West.

How hard is that to understand?
