Any reason why AMD don't make a console chip ?

Any certian reason why the new PS3 or the new XBox didnt get a AMD to make their CPU's ?

Probably because x86 chips don't make particularly good chips for consoles. You can get/make much cheaper chips that can do the job better.

Because nobody's asked yet. And nobody will. AMD == taboo in the CPU market. A meteoric rise from second rate to top dog tends to shake people up and make them skeptical that it'll last.

Microsoft originally considered using the Athlon in the XBOX, but went with Intel

No, I think Intel undercut them on the price at the last minute.
