Any reason to use artic silver if you cpu temps are low already?

I was thinkin of getting some a\s but my idle temps on my t-bird are 28 to 30 and max out at 40 under heavy stress?
Is there any need there?
I ve got a 750 @ 950.
Would the arctic let me go higher ?

no reason! i'm using radioshak paste and my temps are around 105F

Pee3's are wimps when it comes to heat output compared to a BIRD. Pee3's put out about 20 watts or so and BIGBIRDS can exceed 50watts. I am always suspicious when temps read too low. Odin30, are you sure that the thermistor in your cpu socket is touching the underside of your CPU. ??
