Any reason to follow the Win10 upgrade notification now ?

I have a laptop that originally came with win7 premium license, but it is now formatted and running windows 8 enterprise, I want to upgrade the original win7 premium to win10 when it is out.

My plan is to wait until win 10 is finally released, and then I put back the original windows7, and upgrade from there. .. anything wrong with that ?

Is there any reason to install the original win7 oem that came with the laptop right now, and accept the upgrade notification that is received via windows update ?

No, to both questions as far as I know.

You don't have to make a move until July 2016 if you prefer.

I don't think Enterprise is eligible for the free upgrade, so I don't think you could go anywhere on the upgrade path anyway--until you go back to 7.

Considering some people are going crazy about the upgrade notification (a Windows logo in the taskbar), nothing wrong with waiting at all.

Any reason to follow the Win10 upgrade notification now ? Yes if you are the type of Guy that stands all night on line to the get to the Apple store and be one of the first getting a New model of iPhone.

Why don't you wait and see whether the proclaimed Win10 has any bugs or not from experts review and then update to patched version released later from MS. 🙂

Win 10 beta right now has TONs of bugs. I just installed it fresh on on Lenovo and tons of crazy things happen. Screen would freeze and a command line would pop up. The start menu sometimes doesn't work for 5 minutes. Shutdown gives errors. Hopefully they can get things really sorted when final.
