Any reason I shouldn't buy an Acura TSX?

Probably going to buy an Acura TSX tonight, and I wanted to know if there is any car out there that I'm missing. Reasons I like this car:

- Look is equal parts sporty and classy (a little more on the classy side, which is good)
- I can get a 6-speed manual (which was fun to drive last night)
- Comes standard with leather (Can a car be classy without leather? No)
- Integrated Bluetooth connectivity (lot of long-distance drives while talking on the phone)
- Pretty nice stereo system (Bose... but the JBL in Toyotas would be better)
- I fit (at 6'9", that's not normal), even with the sunroof (one of two cars I can say that about)

Bad things:

- Gas mileage isn't great, and it takes 91 octane

So, with that in mind, is there something else out there I'm missing?

EDIT: Don't suggest the Accord. Ugly car. Wouldn't buy it.

The lack of power = cheaper car...

If you want speed & power, this is not the car for you. W/O navi, you can have for around 26-27k

tsx = european accord
But the look is completely different. The front lights on the Accord are just hideous IMO.

Also, for the record, the TSX had enough power for me. I'm not exactly running slaloms every day.

Yes. The way the lights make up the front corner of the car... just ugly. Can't stand it.

i'm not trying to talk you out of buying it

just realize selling the 6-speed may be harder than selling an automatic (i would get a 6-speed myself, but selling it would be more difficult)

It's like going penis shopping and buying a small penis. Follow Chen's advice...pay a little more and get the TL.

Where the fvck is the five door/wagon? The Euro Accord "Tourer" would make a delightful TSX, but we can't have it.

Sedans are so worthless.

I don't think I could ever buy another car (that's not a convertible sports car) that doesn't have a hatchback of some sort.

the TL won't be as fun to drive. it's big and heavy. i don't even think the TL is offered with 6 speed.

The only reason against buying it is that it's kind of expensive for what you get I think. My wife has one, we got it used with 5k miles on it. We love it.

RE: other posts in this thread
1. Camry definitely looks better than Accord, especially the new Camry. Accord has a bubble-butt.
2. Who cares if TSX = European Accord? TSX looks a hell of a lot better than an Accord.
3. Unheard, I have no idea what you're talking about but your sig leads me to believe you're a teenager. Honda makes quality cars. I think the TSX comes with 4 year/50k mile bumper to bumper and 7 year powertrain warranties, not like you're likely to need either.
4. If you're worried about the cost of gas, don't buy an expensive car because you're probably stretching yourself financially to do it.

I test drove a TSX before buying my Mazda 3. While the former offers better build quality and features, the latter is the far more sporty option.

And what do you get for $6k more? Better sound and more horsepower. That's great, but I'm OK with the power of the TSX and the speakers, while not as good, are good enough for a guy like myself that loves music.

Appreciate the thought, but I have considered this, and there's no question I'm going with the 6-speed. I don't do a lot of city driving (walk to work), and I am buying this for me, not someone else who will own it after me.

Hm... I really like the TSX for its styling and such... it's a great car for ~27k or so.
TL rocks as well, so if you have the spare $6k to dump onto the car, I would get that instead since it has so many nifty features.
I had a RSX-S for ~1 year, was gonna get a more luxurious car since I'm such a dumbass, but being the young dumbass I am, I decided to go with the Subaru WRX STI instead. Harsher ride, but fine times indeed everytime I drive.

Yeah, but the ~$6k puts it out of my range. This is right at the limit of what I'd pay.

Just took a look at the tl and the manual does come in a 6 speed. I would love the tl over the tsx and think its worth the money. That 6k might make it out of your price range however so i would probably try to grab one used.

Tsx is still a sweet car, good luck.

Oh yeah, good decision for getting the manual 6-speed for the TSX. The automatic version of the TSX is good but sluggish when you have more passengers.

I agree there as well. The front-ends are almost identical, but the back end of the TSX looks better.
