How do you know it's 8.8?
I say drink mother's vinegar.
oh i don't know, MAYBE THE BIG ASS SIGN ON THE BOTTLE THAT SAYS 8.8?!

The taste is different, but after drinking a bunch of it, it felt like my blood was on fire. I assume it was the acid in the cola changing my body's blood PH levels. It wasn't fun.
I could definitely believe that there is something to alkaline water.

I have a relative that was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She is constantly complaining about hot blood, hot legs and feet. So much so that she dips her feet in water and started using a fan on them while sitting. I wonder if it is related to an artificial sweetener or the pill she takes for the diabetes?
Or her own personal summers, maybe.I doubt it, but it almost certainly relates to the fact that she has diabetes.
You're probably right. I understand that it could be the diabetes but I can't help but wonder if a pill or diet change is causing the issue. She's made a bunch of changes over the last few months.I doubt it, but it almost certainly relates to the fact that she has diabetes.
The pill she's not taking is metformin, and the part of her diet that's missing is all the bits that aren't processed cereals. It really is that simple. You're probably right. I understand that it could be the diabetes but I can't help but wonder if a pill or diet change is causing the issue. She's made a bunch of changes over the last few months.
She was diagnosed in Oct. which was a year after a heart attack. She was told that is a common diagnoses after a heart attack. She is supposed to get some sort of leg test but her car is a POS and she can't keep the appointment.
Alkaline water is complete horseshit. There is absolutely no benefit. Your body regulates ph just fine on its own, and any acid or base you drink will simply be buffered out by your body.
Your cells will literally die outside of a certain, very tight pH range of 7.2-7.6. Certain microenvironments in other cell compartments (organelles) are more acidic or basic (like mitochondria, which are more acidic) and you very likely provide all the minerals necessary for proper pH regulation unless you have osteoperosis.Water ionizers most definitely raise pH and give a fairly significant negative ionic charge according to my ion and pH meter. That's science. Someone working in a lab should have access to these meters.
I can say one thing for certain, the charge from ionized water will be fairly weak compared to fruits and vegetables. And the health benefits of ionized water vs consuming more fruits and vegetables is also debatable.
And while your body is excellent at regulating blood pH, it's only efficient in the presence of copious amounts of alkaline minerals. Otherwise tons of calcium is pulled from your bones to act as a buffer.
So make sure to get enough calcium and other alkaline minerals and yeah, eat your veggies and fruit. My recommendation is buy a blender and never look for an easy road to health.
