Any Railroad Tycoon fans here?

Is anyone here a fan of the Railroad Tycoon series? I have only played RRT 3, but I enjoy it immensely. Right now I am stuck in the Argentina map in the campaign. For some reason I have not been able to haul a substantial amount of wool (I can get the meat and grain quotas quite easily). Anyone have some tips for this one?

Also, the gathering.com website seems to be down. I cannot get to the RRT 3 forums! 🙁

I played 1 or 2. Phenonemally fun. Reminds me of Sim City or Transport Tycoon.

I tried, back when I was on an abandonware kick, to play the original (or was it a gold remake? Not sure). I never took the time to work through tutorials / help / etc, so that probably explains why I didn't latch on. Actually, on second thought, I think I was playing Transport Tycoon - there were railroads, ships, bussing, trucking, airports, etc.
