Just curious. I've read that about 6 million people play Racquetball in the US but I've only met about 12 of them. ;) My dad taught me how to play when I was 8 or 9 and I've been playing off my whole life (25 now). I really picked it up again college 'cause we had a dozen courts on campus that were free to students. I'm just now starting to get back into it 'cause I found a free place to play again.

Yea, I used to play maybe 3 or so years ago. Lots of fun. I had to stop because the place I went to wanted $50+ a month to play.

I'm in a similair situation. Luckily I found an aparment complex w/2 courts on site. Of course I don't live in that complex so I have to kinda sneak in to get my games in. :D

I absolutely love racquetball... But I too have a hard time finding anyone to play.

And even if I do... I have a hard time finding somewhere to play.

I used to play it when I was younger.

But that echoing type noise always got on my nerves. (ball sounds and from just talking on the court)

I wouldn't say it's the worst sport for your body. What do you think makes it so bad?

I played a few years ago against a racketball lover... I thought I'd hold my own being quick, solid at tennis, fast learner...

SMOKED!!! about 5 points in 2 games. :(

I'm actually in a racquetball club in my school. Since I'm in Florida, there are many retired alumnis that play the game. My mentor is 70+ years old, has two knee surgeries, and can still kick my ass in the game. I haven't won against this former pro player. He lets me get up to game point and then shuts me down with his pinches.

I know that feeling. :) When I was in college there was a group of "regulars" (4-6 middle aged profs) that played about the same time I did and a couple of times they were missing a man, or had 1 too many, so I got to hop in w/them and boy howdy did I get my @ss whooped 1v1. Doubles and cut throat I helped more than I hindered (no pun intended) but 1v1 was just ugly. One guy who played was probably a 65 or 70 yr old, short, stout asian guy and boy could that mofo clean up on the court.

Anyone ever played outdoor? What's it likes/how's it different? I've only played indoor.
