Any prospects for big screen 14"+ tablets?

I already have a small 7" tablet for hand held use. But I envision a need for a much bigger screen that's still portable, mostly for watching videos and I can plop it down in front of me anywhere I go.

It doesn't need to be high-rez or high spec: 720p will do just fine, and previous-gen tech will be ok for videos (to keep the price reasonable).

Will something like this start popping up in the market? If anything I hope Samsung does this - since they seem ready to throw out every sized screen out there in the past 2 years.

Think the problem with something this large is battery life is difficult problem to balance with the weight. And I don't think there is much demand for something this large as a tablet only device.

There are some laptop hybrids like the Lenovo Yoga 13, but that's also pretty expensive.

Only budge solution I see is the Archos Family Pad that is 13.3 inches, but it's got some pretty bad looking specs.

Note 12.2 is coming, but probably not until next year.

There's also the convertible Transformer Book T300 13.3" ultrabook that runs Android when detached... but if you mostly use it as a tablet, paying for the Haswell guts is a big waste.

I just googled that. It sounds amazing if it is true. I love the 10.1. I know most people prefer the 7" or 10" tablets, but I don't think a 12 would bother me at all.

There's not a lot between 11.6 and 17" that isn't a full laptop with touchscreen.

There is the Toshiba Excite 13 and this. Both are Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and 13.0". Tablets just a little larger than that haven't seen much demand because they aren't particularly portable because of size and weight (even Apple has just gotten their normal iPad down in weight to where it can be given the moniker "iPad Air"). The tablets larger than 14" tend to be much larger and double as AIO (All-In-One) displays, so they aren't really designed to be portable except within your own home/office.

The 13,3" tablet Point of View Mobii 1325 is the best i've seen right now given the low price.
