I was wondering if there are any programs to open these files and/or (then) convert them into text like a word document or something else? Thanks.

Sounds like a paradox database file. You can link those files within Microsoft Access. you need to have the .px file too though. I believe the .px file is the index file for the data in the .db file.

Depends on the type of data base file. Example, thumbs.db is all graphics and machine coded. And there are some that are text based already using delimited text. They can be read as is with Notepad. Specifically, what file are you concerned with? I know of no generic data base file converter to text.

I tried it opening with notepad. It doesn't really work giving me a bunch of unicode text and messed up alignment cause the database is half in another language. It's used for the program Tencent QQ Messenger, but I was wondering if there was another way to view/open it.
